Brunty Farms was started by Jeffrey T. Brunty at the age of 14 with a flock of 30 laying hens.
Initially, Jeff “gave” his eggs to friends and neighbors but the demand grew so fast that he had to start charging
for them to cover the cost of more pens and more chickens.
During the first two years, Jeff spent every waking day researching and studying many different bird breeds. He decided
to raise his own meat birds in a natural habitat. He again started with just 30 birds. When the birds reached eight weeks
old and were ready to sell, he sold them to his neighbors and friends. After these first 30 consumers cooked and ate their
birds, they never stopped coming back for more. In fact, they are his best form of advertising.
During his high school years, Jeff’s business continued to grow without any advertising.
He got so busy that he had to hire some help other than his family.
Now at the age of 20, he has developed his business into a full scale game birds and poultry farm.
He raises laying hens, meat birds, game birds and ornamental pheasants and ships them all over the United States.
You will find that Jeff’s birds are at the highest standards of quality. He will never raise his prices in the middle of
the season due to unforeseen problems like other farms do to cover the cost.
He is dedicated to his birds and to his customers.
